Why Our Firm

Our firm is stocked with the first of what we hope to be a new generation of lawyers—we strongly believe in a practice which is lean, flexible, and personal. Our firm came into being during the age of the side hustle and start-up and we very much believe in keeping that hunger and hustle alive. We pride ourselves on our boutique culture: having worked in firms where both attorneys and clients were fungible, we are committed to remain true to our roots.

Our practice is tailored to both our clients’ and our lawyers’ needs; we have started off with the idea that attorney-client relationships are better where both the client and attorney like one another and where they are happy. Our practice is talent-driven and client-focused. Integral to this philosophy is giving our lawyers the freedom to do what they do best—serve you—without artificial corporate constraints. While our firm does maintain an office, we strongly believe in decentralized work and the opportunities that offers—you will be paying for your lawyers’ skills not a building on K Street.

Our firm does not have a rich pedigree—we do not come from a storied line of litigators and judges and we did not get pipelined into our positions after handshaking, introductions, and lunches. We are small, self-made, and agile, and we take pride in this.

Our size allows single attorney to take the lead on every client account and case: your attorney, will be just that your attorney. This is someone who will have an actual relationship with you and pick up your calls.

We recruit attorneys solely based on their merits, primarily during their time in law school. Our goal here is simple: to take in top-talent before they enter the world of corporate law and get shackled to a firm. Because of the structure of our firm, and our hiring practices, our rates can remain modest while employing attorneys from top-tier law programs and compensating them fairly.
